A native of the Pacific Northwest, Bill “SWANNY” Swann has dedicated his life to helping and educating anglers catch more Salmon, Trout and Steelhead in Oregon, Idaho and Washington and Alaska. One of the most reputable guides in the region, Swann owns and operates Swanny’s Guided Fishing – a company designed to not only catch clients more fish, but provide an enjoyable, safe, friendly and learning atmosphere. A year-round operation, Swanny’s Guide Service spends the summer months in Alaska. Swanny who was once part owner of Jake’s Alaska, a Salmon camp on the Nushagak River,  now as an advisor “SWANNY” puts his clients on some of the most consistent King Salmon fishing on the planet in June and July, prior to migrate upriver in August to an exclusive fly lodge where world class fly fishing is the norm.

By late summer, focus turns back to the Pacific Northwest. Swanny’s late summer and fall caters to the Lower Columbia River where Silvers and Summer Steelhead amass and then migrates to the mouth of the Cowlitz for Fall Kings and Silvers. From late fall through winter action bounces between Steelhead on the Clearwater River in Idaho and Washington’s coastal systems. Spring is defined by the famed Columbia River Springer run. That’s right; he spends 300 plus days a year on the water!

Over the years Swanny’s Guided Fishing has developed long term relationships with many of the most reputable companies in the industry. These pro staff positions include, St Croix Rods, Under Armour, Okuma Reels, Power Pro, Simms, and Evinrude.

“SWANNY” believes the job of a professional guide extends beyond the water and throughout the year, SWANNY can be found conducting hands on seminars. He’s also a popular seminar speaker at several Pacific Northwest sportsmen’s shows.

Swanny’s Guided Fishing has been featured on many TV shows throughout the Northwest, including Versus’ North to Alaska, Dollar Wise Fly, WFN and Fly Max Films.
